    about
Hello, this is Kirana, 21, she/her. Hufflepuff and thunderbird. A poor college student, majoring in geophysics. Loves pastel colors, outer space, laying down on my bed, cats, warm blanket, oversized tshirt, translucent cyrstals, ice cream and cheeseburger. I'm noisy and talk too much about movies and tv shows.

do not touch the burning girl
    she is no angel
    no savior
but she is here for you
    her eyes, so warm
    of brimstone and coal
    the hearth’s touch
    and rampant steel

do not touch the burning girl
    she fell from the angels
    to cold for their pyre
    to warm for their patience
    they were unmoved by mortals
“all the good come,” they said
    “all the good come”
but she was tired of waiting

do not touch the burning girl
    but follow her
where the outcasts of the world dance in light
    not cold and cool
cast from the judgement of the pious
    but of rebellion
    reinvention
    and taboo

do not touch the burning girl
    her sword is alight
but the flames are not holy ones
    “who would leave paradise
for a lifetime in the dark?”
    she smiles
    her eyes twin candles
    “you do not need salvation
    to live in the light”

But how can I explain them that
    I don’t want to be a stargazer,
    but a galaxy;
    not a poet,
    but a poem

girls don't have iron in their veins
    iron rusts with change
    we do not
girls don’t have gold in their hearts
    gold yields to fire
    we do not
girls don’t have diamonds for bones
    crowds steal them away
    we remain

    He’s
    the ocean,
    and I’m
    the shore.
    He comes
    in waves,
    but never
    stays.

Another lover hits the universe. The circle is broken. But with death comes rebirth. And like all lovers and sad people, I am a poet.
