pirates and their silver blooded sea for @thewinedarksea
i. Tattered sails with veins of gold, burn in a sea of silver
Sea foam colored in the ashes of bones taunts the mortals
Who dare tempt the savage waves below. Saltwater hearts are
Churning (a storm brewing in their thunder-riddled chests.)
ii. Spirits with iridescent scales shimmer just beneath the
Water’s surface, can you hear their hisses? Singing illecebrous
Sea shanties of sailors and their lovers. Don’t be fooled,
These tales all end in jewel-tongued betrayal; revenge kissing
The horizon, as madness seeps between sunken barnacle ribs.
iii. A pirate’s heart is made of three things; a ship to follow their
Blood stained map, a compass to keep their sea kissed souls
From sailing into myth-laced waters (the monsters there have crowns
Of teeth and thrones of god-bled ichor), and an empty chest with
Ghost treasure to keep their lips coated in the taste of wild desire- Visual Poetry | Ara Kay
